The City of Kamloops has contracted BA Dawson Blacktop Ltd. to upgrade the sanitary sewer main on 4th Avenue between Lansdowne Street and Battle Street. The project will serve to increase sewer capacity for future building infrastructure and provide utility servicing for the new Kamloops Centre for the Arts facility.

We are advising businesses, residents, and commuters that the phased work is scheduled to begin in July, with completion anticipated for fall 2025. Construction is scheduled to occur Monday through Friday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm, with the possibility of some weekend work required.

Traffic, parking, alley access, and transit will be temporarily impacted within the construction zone on a block-by-block phased basis, as crews move southbound from Lansdowne Street to Battle Street.
