• Newspaper
• Plastic containers
• Propane tanks
• Residential appliances containing Freon
• Scrap metal and major appliances (e.g. washers, dryers, stoves)
• Tires off rims (residential quantities only)

* Items must be in their original containers. 

Recyclable Items with Fee

• Commercial appliances containing Freon (refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers etc.) - $15 charge per appliance
• Tires on rims (passenger vehicles, residential quantities only) - $5 per tire

The following materials are accepted at the Barnhartvale Yard Waste Site:

• Grass clippings
• Garden waste**
• Tree prunings up to max 24" diameter
• Hallowe’en pumpkins (remove any decorations or candles)

** Noxious weeds or invasive species should be bagged and placed in your garbage container or taken to the landfill for proper disposal.
