Recycle BC Designated Depots

Glass, plastic bags and overwrap, and Styrofoam are problematic to sort from other materials and are not accepted in the City's mixed or curbside recycling. Please take glass, plastic bags, and Styrofoam to one of these designated Recycle BC Depots:

Mixed recycling, electronic waste, and Styrofoam are also accepted at private depots. The Lorne Street Bottle Depot also accepts paint.

Recycle BC has piloted a program for other flexible plastic packaging products. This includes zipper-lock and stand up pouches, crinkly wrappers (eg: chip bags, granola bar wrappers), plastic netting (eg: used for fruit) and flexible packaging (eg: bubble wrap). These items can be separated and taken to either General Grant's locations for recycling.
