How to Prepare to Apply:

This application can only be paid for via credit card.

We strive to provide a detailed email response within five to seven business days of the application; however, a response may take longer depending on the circumstances. We are unable to process rush requests.

Your application will be saved to your MyCity profile until it has been submitted and paid for.

This request only lists any outstanding building permits for a property.

NOTE: Effective December 10, 2025, all online BIR applications are subject to a 2.75% credit card convenience fee.*

*To avoid the fee, customers can apply in person at the Development, Engineering, and Sustainability Office at 105 Seymour Street and pay by cash, cheque, or debit.
