How To Prepare To Apply:

This application is only for payment via credit card.

We strive to provide a detailed email response within 5-7 business days of the application; however, a response may take longer depending on the circumstances. We are unable to process rush requests.

Your application will be saved to your MyCity profile until you submit and pay for it.

This request only lists any outstanding building permits on a property.

NOTE: Effective December 10, 2025, all BIR applications submitted online are subject to a 2.75% credit card convenience fee.*

*To avoid the fee, customers can apply in person at the Development, Engineering, and Sustainability Office at 105 Seymour Street, and pay by cash, cheque, or debit.
