Construction Permits

The City of Kamloops regularly works with the construction industry to better manage pedestrian, cyclist, transit, and vehicular traffic in and around work zones in the city. The City has a keen interest in ensuring the safe movement of goods, services, and people in the community. Therefore, any work undertaken within the City’s road right-of-way (ROW) requires a construction road right-of-way usage permit from the City. This form must be submitted a minimum of seven (7) working days prior to the start of the road right-of-way usage.

Special Events Permit

Events requiring the use or closure of the City road right-of-way, such as block parties, parades*, processions, car shows, among others, will require a special events road right-of-way usage permit

*Any procession or group of pedestrians numbering more than twenty, standing, marching, or walking on any street or sidewalk, or group of vehicles numbering ten or more standing or moving on any street is considered a parade.
