The 2026 General Local Election is Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Eligible voters will elect:

  • 1 Mayor and 8 Councillors to Kamloops City Council
  • 5 Trustees to the School District No. 73 Board of Trustees - Area 1

The Nomination Period closed at 4:00 pm, Friday, September 11, 2026, and no further nominations will be received.

The list of names as they will appear on the ballot will be official once the Declaration of Election by Voting is authorized and published here by the Chief Election Officer by close of business on Monday, September 21, 2026.
