Do I submit a police records check or employment references?

The City of Kamloops is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy community and to the prevention of violence against children.

We will ask your permission prior to initiating either of these steps in the recruitment process.

We do accept applications after the competition has closed; however, your application will be marked late and will not be considered until all other applicants have been reviewed first.

Do you do any testing of job applicants?

You will be informed, in advance, of any testing that we might ask you to participate in. For specific positions, such as lifeguard or firefighter, we may do skill or job-related testing. We may also do computer software testing or psychological testing.

How can I be notified about new job postings?

Please visit our Career Opportunities website to set up a profile and view/apply for vacant positions. Once you create your profile, you can also sign up for ‘job search agents’ which will send you email notifications whenever a job in your area of expertise arises!
