The City of Kamloops has contracted Burcon Slipform Inc to perform sidewalk repair work in the area of 6th Avenue and Columbia Street adjacent to the Denny’s restaurant.

TRAFFIC/PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS
To safely complete this work, the turn lane on 6th Avenue will be closed on Monday, July 27, while construction equipment is on site. Traffic will continue to move through the area; however, motorists should expect minor delays and are asked to follow all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.

From July 28-August 3, the work area (sidewalk and alley entrance off of 6th Avenue) will be closed to allow the concrete to properly cure. During this time, the sidewalk will remain barricaded and pedestrians will be directed to use alternate routes.

Alley access to businesses and residences will be permitted from 5th Avenue.

Throughout the project, please watch for signage and obey all traffic control personnel and equipment when driving or walking near the project site.
