Heat Alert Issued - July 15, 2026

On July 15, 2026, Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a yellow heat warning for our region. A Yellow Heat Warning is issued when forecast temperatures are expected to create moderate health risks, particularly for seniors, people with chronic health conditions, those who live alone, and other heat-vulnerable individuals. Residents are encouraged to take precautions to stay cool and hydrated, reduce exposure during the hottest parts of the day, and check in on family, friends, and neighbours who may be at greater risk of heat-related illness.
