Development Permit Applications

| | How to Prepare to Apply:Required Documentation for All Applications: - Title Search - dated within the last three months (can be accessed through LTSA.ca)
- Charges on Title - legal notations, covenants, statutory rights-of-way, etc.
- Owner Authorization - signed by all owners
- BC Company Summary - if the property is owned in a company name
- Site Disclosure Statement - identifying and disclosing sites that may be contaminated (can be accessed through the BC Provincial website)
- Letter of Intent - description of development and how/why it complies or does not comply with City bylaws and development permit guidelines
- Site Plan - in colour
Additional Documents That May be Required: - Building Plans - including colour elevations and colour/materials legend for all form and character development permits
- Colour Landscape Plan - where landscaped areas are 100 m² or larger, the plan must be prepared and sealed by a landscape architect and include Schedule L and cost estimates
- Geotechnical Hazards Report - prepared and sealed by an engineer for silt bluff development permits
- Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) Report - for riparian areas protection regulation development permits

Before You Start
You must have a MyCity profile to apply online. If you don't have one yet, you can create one here.
Once you start the application you will have 30 days to submit it. Your application will be saved to your MyCity profile until it has been submitted and paid for. You can access it by logging into MyCity, then clicking on the In Progress Applications button at the top of the Registered Accounts page.
Application fees must be paid by Visa or Mastercard. A non-refundable 2.75% credit card convenience fee will apply.
