The Pumpkin Smash event promotes a fun way to compost your pumpkins. Can't make it to the event? Pumpkins are accepted in curbside organics carts or at all City yard waste depots (remove any candles or decorations first).
Recycle those Halloween candy wrappers!
Drop off your wrappers and other flexible plastics with City staff at the Flexible Plastics Recycling Pop-Up Event, November 2, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, at the McArthur Island Disc Golf Course parking lot (located on the southwest side of the McArthur Island Parkway loop, just past the Pumpkin Smash event site).

What's accepted: Flexible plastics includes items like plastic bags, plastic overwrap, crinkly plastic, stand-up and zipper lock pouches, flexible packaging with plastic seal, woven and net plastic bags, and protective and squishy cushion packaging.
Receive a free reusable pink tote bag when you recycle your flexible plastics with us at the pop-up event.
