During the week of July 20, the City's Civic Construction team will commence PHASE TWO of the McGill Watermain Upgrades Project between Dalhousie Drive and University Drive.
TRAFFIC/PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS
During PHASE TWO, crews will be working on McGill Road between Dalhousie Drive and University Drive, resulting in the closure of both eastbound lanes. In order to accommodate two-way traffic, the median along the corridor will be removed and one lane of eastbound traffic will flow adjacent to the excavation. The westbound lanes within this corridor will remain unaffected.
A portion of the southern sidewalk will be closed, and pedestrians will be required to utilize the northern sidewalk.
Transit and emergency services will not be impacted.
Throughout the project, please slow down, expect delays, watch for signage, and obey all traffic control personnel and equipment when driving or walking near the project site. If possible, please avoid the area.
