Tammy retired from her role as Chief Administrative Officer with Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc in 2024, a position she held on secondment from the City of Kamloops. Her appointment reflected the deep trust and strong relationships she cultivated with Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc during her tenure as a senior leader at the City. Over her 15-year career at the City of Kamloops, Tammy played a pivotal role in municipal operations, ultimately transitioning into a dedicated Indigenous and external relations position focused on strengthening partnerships with Indigenous communities.
While serving in her roles, the City of Kamloops and Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc received national recognition, earning the CAMA Award for Collaboration in Reconciliation and the BC Reconciliation Award from the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia. Tammy was also honoured with the Professional Service Award from the Local Government Association of BC for her contributions to advancing reconciliation.
