Canada Day Food Vendor Application

The City of Kamloops invites approved mobile food vendors with a business licence and mobile vendor status for the current year to apply to be a food vendor during Canada Day event celebrations on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Food trucks will be selected based on the menu. Similar menus will be offered on a first-come, first- served basis.

NEW: Recent changes in park configuration affect the available space for events/food vendors. We will do our best to accommodate requests.  

  • Cost: A non-refundable fee of $200 will be charged for mobile food vendors. NEW: In addition, a deposit of $200 will be charged to all vendors; this deposit will be refunded within 10 days of the event as long as all previously agreed upon terms outlined in this application were met.
  • Location: Mobile food vendors will be located on the east end of Riverside Park. Vendor locations will be decided upon by the Canada Day Committee and communicated to you prior to the event. 
  • Power: The City will not be providing power to food trucks. Operators are responsible for their own power requirements by means of a generator.
  • Hours: Vendors must be set up and staffed from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Food trucks may stay open until 8:30 pm if desired. ALL food trucks must be setup the night before the event. All food trucks must exit the park by 9:30 pm on July 1.
  • Deadline: The deadline for applications is 4:00 pm on May 1, 2026. Successful applicants will be notified by May 6, 2025.  The deadline for payment is May 31, 2026.

The committee thanks those who apply, but only accepted applicants will be contacted.
