  • KAMPLAN, the City’s Official Community Plan, guides and shapes how our community grows. The City is updating KAMPLAN to address population growth and anticipated housing needs for the next 20 years.

    How will planning for growth impact where you live, work, and play? Drop by one of four open houses to learn more about what changes you can expect to see in your neighbourhood and across the city. Sessions are open-house style with information boards set up and staff available to chat and answer questions.

  • Don't toss it—fix it! Experience the joy of fixing your beloved things and keep usable items in service to reduce waste. Kamloops Repair Café events are supported by a City of Kamloops Climate Action Grant. 

    Items are fixed for free by local volunteers. 

    What You Can Bring:

    • small wooden furniture

    BC Lions FANFEST

  • This annual event is a fan favourite, and is returning to Hillside Stadium. Enjoy food and beverage, activities for the whole family, and appearances from the players and UPROAR members. Plus, the main event, BC Lions practice.

    Sir Wilfrid Laurier Plaque Unveiling

  • Tḱemlúps te Secwépemc, the City of Kamloops, and the Kamloops Museum and Archives will host an unveiling of the revitalized Memorial to Sir Wilfrid Laurier Plaque on Thursday, May 22, 2025, along the 100 block of Victoria Street.

    The public plaque unveiling ceremony will take place from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and is open to all members of the community. This special occasion will include an opening prayer by a Tḱemlúps te Secwépemc Elder, followed by the ceremony and light refreshments. Some seating will be available.

Departing from the traditional conference setting, sessions will spotlight local projects, community-driven initiatives, and sustainable heritage practices—all rooted in the rich cultural and historical landscape of our host communities.
