In partnership with BC Transit, the City of Kamloops will host the annual Stuff the Bus fundraiser on Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Columbia Square Save-On-Foods.
This community-driven initiative supports the Kamloops Food Bank and helps ensure local families have access to essential food during the holiday season.
City staff and volunteers will be on location from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day, accepting cash donations and non-perishable items with the goal of filling up a transit bus. Every contribution—big or small—makes a difference and helps brighten the holidays for those who need it most.
Since 2018, the City’s Stuff the Bus holiday campaign has been a tremendous success, bringing the community together to collect more than 12,000 pounds of food and nearly $22,500 in donations to support local families in need.
The most requested items by the Kamloops Food Bank are:
- Cereal
- Tomato Sauce
- Tuna
- Canned Fruit
- Canned Vegetables
- Pasta
- Formula
- Baby Food
- Rice
- Peanut Butter
- Beans
Through the Stuff the Bus initiative, the City aims to mobilize community support, reduce food insecurity, and strengthen connections among residents.
