City of Kamloops Tree Coupon Program Returns April 1

Release Date

The City of Kamloops’ annual tree coupons will be available to the public from April 1 through June 10, 2026. The coupons have a $20 or $50 value, depending on the price of the selected tree.

The Tree Coupon Program supports the City’s goal of increasing our community’s tree canopy from the current 15% to 20%, as identified in the Urban Forestry Management Strategy.

“Urban trees provide many social, health, environmental, and economic benefits, from removing atmospheric carbon dioxide and absorbing air pollutants to reducing energy consumption and increasing property values,” said Michael Doll, the City’s Greenspaces and Natural Resources Supervisor.

Coupons will be available at the following nurseries:

  • Agri Supply
  • Art Knapp Plantland
  • Canadian Tire - Aberdeen
  • Canadian Tire - North Shore
  • Lyons Garden and Landscape Centre
  • Purity Feed Co.

Coupons will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to residents within Kamloops’ municipal boundaries, with a limit of one per household. Residents will need to supply proof of address in the form of a driver’s licence or a City of Kamloops utility or property tax statement.

Coupons will only be available at the time of purchase of an eligible tree and cannot be picked up at one store and used at another store, nor can coupons be picked up for use at a later date.

For more information on tree eligibility, visit Kamloops.ca/TreeCoupon.

Residents are reminded to manage their fruit trees to prevent conflicts with wildlife. Fruit trees are not a natural source of food for wildlife, and left unmanaged, they can attract wildlife into the community.
