Emergency Services Day offers residents a free family-friendly event that interacts with various emergency services teams and organizations operating within our community. This is an event where attendees can interact with emergency equipment, gain valuable insights into emergency preparedness, available services, and volunteer opportunities.

Bring a reusable bag to bring home coloring books, stickers, toys, swag, and other helpful information.

  • Learn Fire Safety: Explore a fire engine and learn about firefighting equipment.
  • Safety First: Sit in a police car and understand the role of law enforcement in community safety.
  • Bike Rodeo: Bring your helmet and bike to participate in a bike rodeo to practice safe riding skills.
  • Community Safety: Meet a Community Services Officer and learn about their role in keeping our community safe.
  • Rescue Shoutout: Give a high five to Kamloops Search & Rescue and learn about their lifesaving missions.
  • Emergency Health: Meet BC Emergency Health Services and discover how they respond to medical emergencies.
  • Pet Safety: Learn about pet safety with the BC SPCA and how to keep your furry friends safe.
  • FireSmart Tips: Talk to a FireSmart expert and get advice on protecting your home from wildfires.
  • Meet Safety Experts: Talk to a police officer, firefighter, and paramedics about staying safe in emergencies.
  • Safety Alerts: Learn about the City's emergency alert notification system and how you can sign up.
