Emergency services and responders in Kamloops are uniting to host Emergency Services Day on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Sandman Centre parking lot at 300 Lorne Street.

This free event is an integral part of Emergency Preparedness Week, which runs from May 5 to May 11 and aims to enhance community readiness for unforeseen emergencies.

Emergency Services Day offers residents a unique opportunity to interact with and learn from various emergency services teams and organizations operating in our community. Over a dozen partner organizations, including Kamloops Fire Rescue, RCMP, BC Sheriff Service, Rocky Mountain Rangers, Kamloops Search and Rescue, Kamloops Emergency Support Services, Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre, and many more, will participate, allowing attendees to gain valuable insights into emergency preparedness, available services, and volunteer opportunities.

Photography Notice: A professional photographer will be on-site for the event for City use on future materials and event marketing. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please advise the photographer at the time of the event.

Construction Notice: The Lansdowne Street and Seymour Street parkades offer free parking on weekends. Motorists are advised that there is a significant construction project underway in the downtown core. For detours and traffic impacts, visit https://letstalk.kamloops.ca/capitalprojects/citycentre.
