Emergency services in Kamloops are joining forces for Emergency Services Day on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 10:00 am–2:00 pm. This free event takes place in the Sandman Centre parking lot at 300 Lorne Street.

The event is an opportunity for residents to learn how to be better prepared for emergency events and learn about the emergency services teams and services in our community.
 
The day features a variety of emergency services partners such as Kamloops Fire Rescue, local RCMP, and BC Ambulance Service. Over two dozen partner organizations will be on-site, including BC Sheriffs, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Kamloops Search and Rescue, Kamloops Emergency Support Services, and many more.

On-site during the event will be the RCMP Air 4 helicopter (pending weather or an emergency), the Alexa Bus—a fully contained police detachment on wheels, a fire extinguisher demonstration, a fire tower and water tender, along with many other interesting pieces of equipment.
