Pumpkin Smash 2023 was a hit! We would like to send a big thank you to the 500 or so attendees who came out to enjoy numerous pumpkin games and activities at McArthur Island on Saturday, November 4.

Smiles were abound as City staff helped kids smash, bash, roll, and stomp their Hallowe'en pumpkins at the various activity stations. The City composted a total of 2,830 kg of pumpkins from the event.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a smashing success. A big shout out to Blackwell Dairy for lending us milk crates, Purity Feed for supplying hay bales free of charge, and the BC Wildlife Park for donating prizes.

We look forward to another smashing good time next year.
