Kamloops is celebrating its arts and culture scene after being named one of Canada’s top 10 mid-size participating cities for Culture Days 2024. This recognition highlights the community’s commitment to fostering creativity, inclusion, and cultural engagement.
Throughout the three-week event held earlier this fall, Kamloops offered more than 60 events, including interactive programming, live performances, and workshops showcasing local talent. Programs were free to encourage residents to participate and try new activities. The community embraced the opportunity to connect with the arts, making this year’s Culture Days an unforgettable experience.
“The recognition of being in the top 10 mid-size cities nationwide reflects the passion and dedication of our artists, performers, organizations, and volunteers who work tirelessly to enrich our city’s cultural fabric,” said Dušan Magdolen, Culture Services and Events Manager. “Seeing our community come together to celebrate creativity and inclusivity is encouraging.”
Culture Days is a national initiative that invites Canadians to explore and participate in the arts. Kamloops’ consistent presence in the rankings is a testament to the city’s thriving cultural landscape and the unwavering support from its residents.
