The spirit of the season lit up the streets of downtown Kamloops on November 24 with the annual Downtown Kamloops Santa Claus Parade. Amid twinkling lights and joyful music, more than 20 dedicated City volunteers came together to spread holiday cheer and showcase the essence of community spirit by walking in the parade with the City entry.
Three thousand glittering lights and two oversized elves were the focal points on a hydrovac truck (the largest vehicle in the City Civic Operations fleet) that played music as it rolled down the street.
In the spirit of giving, City staff walked alongside the float, handing out City of Kamloops toy vehicles and festive Making Kamloops Shine tattoos to children who eagerly lined the parade route.
From all of us at the City of Kamloops, thank you to the volunteers, event organizers, and community members who made this magical night possible. Here’s to spreading joy and building connections as we move into a season of hope, gratitude, and celebration.
Happy holidays, Kamloops!
