The 48th Annual Seniors’ Christmas Light Tour on December 12, 2024, brought together over 600 seniors for an evening of holiday cheer, snacks, and lively entertainment by the Kamloops Rube Band and the Kamloops Pride Choir at the Sandman Centre.
This free event toured seniors through the Sagebrush, Upper Sahali, and Aberdeen neighbourhoods to view the Christmas lights on display. This cherished tradition continues to showcase the heart of Kamloops’ community spirit. Thank you to all the residents who lit up the route with their festive holiday lights and decorations.
The event was only possible with the volunteers who generously gave their time to ensure its success. A special thank you goes out to the dedicated transit drivers who made transportation seamless for attendees, helping everyone arrive and depart safely.
The evening featured plenty of opportunities to connect and celebrate the season. The City extends its heartfelt gratitude to Chartwell Retirement Residence, Kamloops Seniors Village, BC Transit, Transdev Canada, and all the community volunteers who helped to make this event memorable for many.
Here’s to another year of spreading joy and celebrating our seniors!
