Waste Audits

From time to time, staff conduct audits of solid waste collection carts. This entails taking samples from carts on select routes, across collection zones, on collection day when the carts are at the curb, to collect data on composition and contamination. Data from solid waste collection audits helps staff understand solid waste trends in the community and to accurately report waste diversion and Greenhouse Gas reductions.
