We’re proud to share that the City of Kamloops has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association.

This award recognizes communities that meet high standards for developing and presenting their budgets. To earn it, the City’s budget had to meet 14 mandatory criteria across four areas: serving as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communication tool.

In other words, this recognition reflects the hard work that goes into making the City’s budget clear, useful, and accountable to our community.

A big thank you to our Finance team and everyone across the organization who helps build and deliver the City’s budget each year. This award recognizes that work and our commitment to responsible financial planning.
