City of Kamloops Launches New Monthly E-Newsletter to Keep Residents Informed

Release Date

The City of Kamloops is pleased to announce the launch of a new monthly e-newsletter designed to give residents a clear, concise snapshot of everything happening at City Hall—all in one place.

The new e-newsletter will summarize key Council meeting highlights, upcoming community events, construction impacts, and City news and will include a message from senior leadership. The goal is simple: reduce email fatigue while ensuring residents still have access to the information they need to stay informed and engaged.

“In today’s world, people are surrounded by constant information and competing messages,” said Byron McCorkell, the City’s Chief Administrative Officer. “It’s more important than ever for local governments to provide factual, timely, and reliable information that residents can trust. This e-newsletter cuts through the noise and brings everything together in a clear, accessible way.”

The first issue of the newsletter will also spotlight the City’s new educational website, Let’s Learn, a resource designed to clarify a wide range of municipal topics. Let’s Learn offers easy-to-understand information about how local government works, including elections, City services, and day-to-day City operations.

Residents can subscribe to the monthly e-newsletter at Kamloops.ca/Subscribe.

By delivering a single, well-rounded monthly update, the City aims to make it easier than ever to stay connected with what’s happening in Kamloops and how City decisions and activities impact the community.
