This year’s auction introduces a new partnership with Thompson Rivers University, offering bookstore fixtures, including office furniture, carts, shelving, displays, and mini fridges.
In addition to the university’s collection, the auction will once again feature a broad selection of surplus City items, including vehicles, bicycles, power tools, office equipment, and more. A full inventory, complete with photos, will be available on the Team Auctions website, which will serve as the exclusive platform for bidding: Kamloops.ca/Auction.
In person viewing at McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre curling rink (1665 Island Parkway):
- 9:00 am to 6:00 pm May 7-9
- 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on May 10
Online bidding:
- Opens at 9:00 am on Thursday, May 7, and lots begin closing on Sunday, May 10
- Registration is required to participate
The auction will feature several unclaimed items acquired by the City and the RCMP. Residents searching for lost or stolen items are encouraged to attend the in-person viewing and explore the Team Auctions web page. Identified items should promptly be reported to the City’s Planning and Procurement Division at purchasing@kamloops.ca and Team Auctions at lhicks@teamauctions.com. The claimant’s full name, contact number, and a detailed description of the item, along with its associated auction number, must be provided.
Claimed items will immediately be withdrawn from the auction, and Community Services or RCMP representatives will reach out to claimants to guide them through the next steps.
