30 Day Countdown to Kamloops Christmas Market

Release Date

Hot cocoa in hand, kids waving at Santa, twinkling lights overhead, and the scent of cinnamon, mulled wine, and holiday snacks in the air—it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Kamloops.

The Kamloops Christmas Market is set to transform the Heritage House Parking Lot at 100 Lorne Street from November 21 to 30, bringing 10 days of seasonal celebration, shopping, and entertainment.

A lighting ceremony kicks things off at 5:30 pm on November 21, followed by daily entertainment including visits from Santa, live music, and roaming holiday performers. Themed nights include a colourful Pride Night (Nov. 27), the folkloric Krampus Night (Nov. 28), Indigenous Cultural Night (Nov. 29), and a community wrap-up with British Columbia Lotteries Corporation (BCLC) Day (Nov. 30).

A cozy heated tent offers a rotating lineup of trivia, karaoke, and live performances, while shoppers can explore a European-style outdoor marketplace with handcrafted gifts and traditional German Christmas stars. We’re thrilled to feature culinary offerings from local food trucks and vendors serving up festive treats, both familiar and new, perfect for warming hands and hearts while you explore.

“This market is a celebration of everything Kamloops has to offer—local talent, diverse culture, and community spirit,” says Duncan Olthuis, Executive Director of the Kamloops Sports Council. “With strong support from the City of Kamloops, Tourism Kamloops, Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, Scwén̓wen Economic Development, and the Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association, this is the start of a beloved annual tradition.”

Holiday Highlights Include:

  • Roaming characters and photo ops throughout the market
  • Festive food trucks with seasonal snacks and beverages
  • Mulled wine by Privato Winery, plus warm drinks from Hey Neighbour and Logjam
  • Firepits and a festive bar area
  • Themed nights celebrating community and culture
  • Handcrafted goods and artisanal shopping

“Tourism Kamloops is proud to support this celebration of local creativity and connection. The Kamloops Christmas Market not only delivers joyful experiences for residents and visitors—it also uplifts our tourism economy at a time of year when support is most needed,” said Erik James Fisher, CEO of Tourism Kamloops.
