On May 11, 2024, more than 300 residents followed the lights of emergency vehicles to Sandman Centre to celebrate Emergency Services Day. Residents and visitors alike experienced the sounds of sirens, emergency vehicles, the RCMP helicopter, drones, rescue dogs, and one-on-one interactions with key emergency personnel in our community.

More than $6,500 from the inaugural Jail and Bail fundraiser was raised for three organizations. The donations will be shared among the Special Olympics BC - Kamloops, Kamloops Search and Rescue, and the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.
