Theatre Under the Trees is returning to Prince Charles Park this summer with two fun filled productions for the whole family:

Build Kamloops Open House

  • -

    • Residents are encouraged to attend this public open house to learn more about how the Build Kamloops program will help us catch up and keep up with the growth of our community. Ask questions and learn about how the program was developed, why these facilities were prioritized, and the proposed funding strategy. 

    This event is an open house format with no set agenda. Residents may come and go as they please during the event.

    Scotdance Canada Championship Series

    • Get ready to witness the grace and power of Highland Dance at our upcoming competition from July 7–11 at the Sandman Centre. Whether you're a seasoned fan or new to the sport, this event promises thrilling performances from athletes aged 4 to 25+. 

    Step into the world of athleticism and celebrate Scottish heritage with us as dancers showcase their skills on stage. From a traditional Highland Fling to an intricate Sword Dance you'll be captivated by their precision and passion. 

    InclusiABILITY

    • Join lululemon ambassador Kasha Mitton from the MASH movement for InclusiABILITY. This dynamic, city-wide event is designed to elevate awareness and foster inclusivity around accessibility in honour of National AccessAbility Week in Canada and in celebration of the city's goal to position itself among the most progressive in Canada for people with disabilities. Dive into unity and movement with an all-levels yoga class with live DJ.

    The Kamloops Film Society and Kamloops Francophone Association are delighted to announce the 2nd annual CineLoops Film Festival will be taking place May 30 and 31 at the Paramount! Immerse yourself in two nights of French-language cinema. All films in French with English subtitles.

     

    BC Lions FanFest

    • BC Lions FanFest, presented by BCLC, is returning to Kamloops on Saturday, May 18. This annual event is a fan favourite, and has been re-imagined in 2024. Join us as we head to Victoria Street for our first ever Downtown Kamloops Block Party. Enjoy live music, food and beverage, activities for the whole family, and appearances from the players and UPROAR members.

    Community + Council Conversations: Southwest 1 Event

    • City Council will be at the Coast Kamloops Hotel & Conference Centre to meet with residents of Pineview Valley, Aberdeen, Dufferin, Iron Mask, and Knutsford and listen to their opinions and concerns about their neighbourhoods.

    Council recognizes that different neighbourhoods have different concerns and encourages residents to attend the meeting closest to their neighbourhood to discuss common issues and solutions with their neighbours.

    Annual City Auction

    • The City’s annual auction in partnership with Team Auctions will be taking place April 25–28, 2024, with great finds for residents and businesses alike. This year’s auction has a variety of items, including a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 pick-up truck, a sander, two tractors, numerous bikes, various hand and power tools, office equipment, and more. A comprehensive inventory complete with pictures will be accessible on the Team Auctions website, which will serve as the platform for all bidding activities.
