Effective Monday, June 1 - Fees and Charges are Increasing
The following increases were adopted by Council on May 26, 2026, effective June 1, 2026. For more information, see the March 31, 2026, Committee of the Whole report.
The changes also include extending paid on-street parking hours to start at 8:00 am instead of 9:00 am.
More engagement on parking in Kamloops can be expected as the City's parking management plan rolls out.
The City is pleased to announce that, after a detailed procurement process in early 2026, including engagement with local pay parking users, the City has awarded a contract to Precise ParkLink Inc. to manage pay parking in Kamloops.
The transition to new parking meters and new technology took place in May and June 2026. The major changes included:
Phasing out Hangtags for monthly parkers.
Transitioning to Parkedin as the app for parking payment.
