Animal Control Bylaw 34-11

This bylaw outlines the requirements for the licensing and control of animals within the city. This includes dogs, cats, farm animals, urban hens, beekeeping, registered guide dogs and personal assistance dogs, aggressive dogs, dogs in parks, kennels, pounds, and penalties.

Building Bylaw 11-80

This bylaw regulates the construction, alteration, repair, moving, or demolition of buildings and structures. It also includes permit fees and climatic data for building design.

Business License and Regulation Bylaw 9-60

This bylaw governs licencing regulations and fees for conducting any business within the city. This includes commercial operations, home-based businesses, not-for-profits, food trucks and other mobile vendors, and temporary operations like a carnival.

Development Cost Charges Bylaw 48-100

This bylaw outlines how and when development cost charges can be imposed for the purpose of providing funds to assist the City in providing, constructing, altering, or expanding sewage, water, drainage, and highway facilities to service future development.

Dog Responsibility Bylaw 34-42

This bylaw regulates dog owners' responsibilities, including licensing and fees, maximum number of dogs, seizure and impoundment, and provisions for dangerous, aggressive, or nuisance dogs.

Fire Prevention Bylaw 10-37

This bylaw is intended to secure public safety and is subject to the British Columbia Fire Services Act and Regulations, as well as the National Fire Code of Canada. It covers fire protection and safety, open air fires, backyard burning, fireworks, inspections, and penalties.

This bylaw controls graffiti and murals with the purpose of promoting a well-maintained and attractive community. It outlines owner and occupant responsibility around graffiti removal, as well as the process for mural applications.

In-line Skates, Skateboards and Scooters Control Bylaw 23-63

We recognize that scooters, skateboards, and in-line skates are an environmentally friendly method of travel. To keep these activities safe for skaters and scooters with respect to traffic and pedestrians, this bylaw prohibits or restricts using these devices in high traffic areas.

Noise Control Bylaw 24-42

To protect and enhance the well-being of the City, this bylaw regulates, prohibits, and imposes requirements in relation to noise, vibrations, and any other matter that is liable to disturb the quiet, peace, rest, enjoyment, comfort, or convenience of individuals or the public.

This bylaw regulates the use of recreational and off-highway vehicles within the City of Kamloops to protect land, prevent erosion, and protect citizens from dust and noise nuisance.

Road Right-of-Way Bylaw 24-23

This bylaw outlines the terms and conditions imposted by Council regarding the closure of and construction on road rights-of-way within the City of Kamloops. It also outlines the requirements of real property owners regarding the maintenance of boulevards and the removal of snow, ice, and rubbish from sidewalks.

Sign Regulations Bylaw 11-77

This bylaw outlines the size, location, and content of signage within the City to prevent interference with signs and lights erected for the direction of traffic, prevent confusion and undue conflict of signage, and permit the proper identification of businesses.
