Streamlined Process at City Hall

A staff-led update to how the City’s Revenue and Taxation team receives requests is expected to reduce email volume by more than 10,000 every year.

Available at Kamloops.ca/Revenue, the City’s new online Revenue Department Inquiries form will significantly reduce the back-and-forth emails involved in processing the 20,000 unique requests the Revenue and Taxation team receives each year. By collecting the necessary information upfront, the form will help staff respond accurately to requests regarding property taxes, utility billing, MyCity access, tax certificates, or any other general revenue or taxation inquiries.

Requests will now be sent directly to the appropriate processing queue with the information staff need to respond promptly. This will help the City respond more efficiently, prioritize requests appropriately, and provide consistent service to everyone.
