The application period for the 2026 Social and Community Development Grant closes at 5:00 pm on November 7, 2025.
Funding is available for projects that address priorities identified in the Kamloops Social Plan and/or align with at least one of the Council’s Strategic Priorities. There are three funding grant streams to choose from; operations, special projects, capital expenditures, and social enterprise.
Application Information
Applicants are invited to apply for funding up to $30,000. Funding is available for projects that address priorities identified in the Kamloops Social Plan and/or align with at least one of the Council’s Strategic Priorities. Applications may be submitted for operational costs, special projects, capital expenditures, or one-year seed money for a social enterprise initiative
All applicants will be notified if they have been approved or denied in late December after a thorough evaluation process by the Social Planning Engagement Group, which is facilitated by City staff. Final determination of awards will be made public in January 2026.

2025 Final Reporting
The online final report for applicants who successfully received funding for the 2025 Social and Community Development Grant is due by Friday, November 28, 2025 at 5:00 pm. The ability to submit a final report will be available this fall, please check back.
