This business case was updated in December 2024 in conjunction with Interior Health and submitted to the Honourable Josie Osborne, Minister of Health for the Province of BC. 

This business case is the outcome of nearly a decade of advocacy by the City, Indigenous organizations, RCMP, BC Emergency Health Services, Kamloops Fire Rescue, and other community partner agencies to have the Province invest in a Sobering and Assessment Centre in Kamloops.
