Tournament Capital Centre (TCC)

Hours of Operation

The TCC indoor track, Wellness Centre, and Athlete Performance Centre are open Monday–Saturday, 6:30 am–6:30 pm. Hours are subject to change based on provincial guidelines and restrictions. 

The outdoor track at Hillside Stadium is open Monday–Sunday, 6:30 am–6:30 pm until further notice. Schedule is subject to change based on the artificial turf replacement project

COVID-19 Update

Effective Monday, June 29, 2020

Fitness Opportunities at the TCC Fieldhouse:

  • Indoor track
  • EZ Line fitness equipment
  • New fitness stations on North Court
  • Drop-in basketball with modifications: players must bring their own balls (TCC will not be lending equipment), one ball per person (no sharing equipment), one-on-one play or scrimmages are not permitted.
  • Wellness Centre

  • Hillside Stadium

COVID-19 Operational Adjustments at TCC:

  • The adjusted hours are 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Saturday. These hours are temporary during the reopening and will be expanded as restrictions are lifted. (Hillside Stadium track is also open on Sundays)
  • Effective June 29, with the reopening of our Wellness Centre and APC, we will be returning to regular rates. Debit or credit only is preferred, however cash is accepted. 
  • Guests are encouraged to leave their valuables at home and to come ready to work out as there will be no access to changerooms. There are a limited number of coin-operated lockers available ($0.25 each).
  • There is reduced parking available due to construction on both the Canada Games Aquatic Centre and Hillside Stadium. Please use caution when in the area, and obey any construction signage.
  • For the safety of our guests, there will be a 180-person limit for the Fieldhouse. Expect lineups, be patient, and allow ample time for your visit. Check out the webcams at Kamloops.ca/FacilityWebcams before you go.
  • As per Interior Health guidelines, water fountains will be turned off, but the water bottle refill station will be open. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.

    We ask that you do not enter the TCC if you’re feeling ill, if you’ve been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, or if you’ve recently travelled outside of the country. Please practise physical distancing and good hygiene. Fencing and floor markings will delineate flow throughout the building. Please be patient, be respectful to staff and other patrons, and abide by set time limits on equipment.

    Admission Information

    • Children aged 6 years or under must always be accompanied in the water and be within arm's reach of a parent or other person aged 16 years or older. The ratio of children aged 6 years or under to parent/guardian must be no greater than three to one.
    • A family is a maximum of two adults and all the children under 18 years of age who live in the same residence. A legally dependent person with a disability will qualify regardless of age. 
    • The family punch card can only be used for adult admission when swimming with an eligible child or a legally dependent person with a disability.
    • Patrons with a disability pay the age rate and their care aide is admitted for free.

    Admission Information

    • All youth aged 12-17 years are required to complete a FREE weight room orientation prior to being granted access to the gym.
    • Youth aged 12-14 years are required to be under direct supervision of a paying adult (18+). Youth aged 15+ may use the gym on their own.
    • A family is a maximum of two adults and all the children under 18 years of age who live in the same residence. A legally dependent person with a disability will qualify regardless of age. 
    • Patrons with a disability pay the age rate and their care aide is admitted for free.

    Drop-in orientations are available during operational hours with the following exceptions: Monday-Friday, 11:30 am-1:30 pm and 4:30-6:30 pm.

    • A monthly indoor track pass is available for $20.40 per month (all ages). Includes access to courts, EZ Line equipment, and light resistance machinery. 
    • The outdoor track in Hillside Stadium is open to the public at no charge when it is not in use.

    Lockers

    Stop theft: use a locker and lock it up! Lockers are available for only $0.25.

    Parking

    Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, TCC visitors are required to register their licence plate to receive two hours of free parking. Outside of these days and times, TCC visitors are not required to register their licence plate. TCC visitors displaying a valid disabled parking permit can park for free and do not need to register their licence plate.

    Due to limited parking resources, bus parking at the TCC is limited to one bus stall adjacent to Hillside Stadium. Drop-off/pickup service can be accommodated in the traffic circle at the TCC main entrance. Buses must be attended at all times as the traffic circle is for emergency vehicle access. Off-site bus parking options include nearby street parking or Thompson Rivers University parking lots S, T, W, and N, which are free weekdays after 5:00 pm and weekends.
