Update on COVID-19, effective July 1, 2021:
  • Masks are welcome in all City facilities and are recommended for those who are not fully vaccinated (you are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after your second immunization).
  • Residents are asked to not enter any City facility if you are feeling ill. 
  • Physical barriers and directional traffic flow will remain in place at some facilities.
  • All gyms and recreation facilities will return to regular capacity. 
  • Showers, lockers, and water fountains will be available for use.
  • Pre-registration will no longer be required for drop-in programs. 
  • More spectators will be permitted at indoor and outdoor sporting events in accordance with public health guidelines.

Vaccination Clinic Update

A portion of the TCC Fieldhouse will be closed to the public to support the provincial vaccination efforts for COVID-19. The partial closure will start on March 19 and last until September 2021, or until Interior Health no longer requires the space for mass vaccinations. Read more.

    Admission Information

    • Children aged 6 years or under must always be accompanied in the water and be within arm's reach of a parent or other person aged 16 years or older. The ratio of children aged 6 years or under to parent/guardian must be no greater than three to one.
    • A family is a maximum of two adults and all the children under 18 years of age who live in the same residence. A legally dependent person with a disability will qualify regardless of age. 
    • The family punch card can only be used for adult admission when swimming with an eligible child or a legally dependent person with a disability.
    • Patrons with a disability pay the age rate and their care aide is admitted for free.

    • All youth aged 12-17 years are required to complete a FREE weight room orientation prior to being granted access to the gym.
    • Youth aged 12-14 years are required to be under direct supervision of a paying adult (18+). Youth aged 15+ may use the gym on their own.
    • A family is a maximum of two adults and all the children under 18 years of age who live in the same residence. A legally dependent person with a disability will qualify regardless of age. 
    • Patrons with a disability pay the age rate and their care aide is admitted for free.

    Drop-in orientations are available during operational hours with the following exceptions: Monday-Friday, 11:30 am-1:30 pm and 4:30-6:30 pm.

    Hillside Stadium Outdoor Track
    • The outdoor track in Hillside Stadium is open to the public at no charge when it is not in use.
    • Hill Stadium may be closed periodically due to weather conditions.

    Facility Details

    Lockers

    • Users of the Wellness Centre and Athlete Performance Centre are asked to leave their valuables and work out bag at home and to come ready to work out. Showers and lockers are not available at these facilities at this time. Wallet lockers are available.
    • Users of the Canada Games Aquatic Centre will have access to changerooms and a limited number of coin-operated lockers available ($0.25 each).

    Parking

    Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, TCC visitors are required to register their licence plate to receive two hours of free parking. Outside of these days and times, TCC visitors are not required to register their licence plate. TCC visitors displaying a valid disabled parking permit can park for free and do not need to register their licence plate.

    For the duration of the vaccination clinics (March to September), designated parking has been reserved for clinic patients and patrons with limited mobility (see map). All patrons may experience limited or alternate parking options and should try to arrive early to allow adequate time for parking.

    Due to limited parking resources, bus parking at the TCC is limited to one bus stall adjacent to Hillside Stadium. Drop-off/pickup service can be accommodated in the traffic circle at the TCC main entrance. Buses must be attended at all times as the traffic circle is for emergency vehicle access. Off-site bus parking options include nearby street parking or Thompson Rivers University parking lots S, T, W, and N, which are free weekdays after 5:00 pm and weekends.
