Activity Registration
Can I still register in person at a facility or on the phone?
Yes, you can still call or register in person at the Tournament Capital Centre, Westsyde Pool & Fitness Centre, or Kamloops Museum & Archives. Please note that online registration will be faster than phone or in-person. We appreciate your patience.
Do I need to have an account to search for programs?
No. You can navigate through the system without having an account, or being logged in. You will only be prompted to log-in or create an account when you register for a program.

How do I know when I have successfully registered for a program, class, or activity?
You have successfully registered for a program, class, or activity when you click the “Checkout” button on the payment screen. You will receive a confirmation email with all of the details.
You can also view all of your client info by clicking on the “My Profile” button found at the top left.
How do I register for an activity?
Clearing your browsing data on your web browser (Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, etc) prior to registration will help prevent error messages when completing payment. Incognito mode on Google Chrome is recommended for the best results.
Step 1. Find and select a program using one of two ways:
- Use the search function on the schedule page.
- Navigate through programs under the main categories: Adapted Programs, Aquatic Programs, Drop-In, Parties, PacificSport, Registered Programs and Special Events. You can refine your search using the filters provided.
Step 2. Login or Sign Up to create an account
Step 3. Attendees Screen: Select family member(s) you would like to book and click “Next”
Step 4. Review Screen: Review your Cart Summary and select “Checkout”
Step 5. Payment Screen: Enter payment information and “Complete” the transaction

How do I setup my online recreation account?
Follow these steps to setup your online recreation account:
- Launch the online recreation webpage
- Click "Signup" above the Login box.
- Please note: the first member created on any new account will be assigned as the primary contact for the account. Please add an adult client first, and then add additional family members on the "My Info" page in step 4.
- Add the requested account details and click "Submit". Your login will be the email address you provided when you created your account.
- At this point, you will be logged into your online recreation account and can add or edit your account information. You will be sent an email with a one-time temporary password for the next time you log in to your account. When you use your temporary password, you will be prompted to create a new password. Password must be at least 10 characters long, contain one uppercase letter, 1 number, and cannot contain a sequence (i.e. 123456 or 123abc). A sample password could be Bucketlist1.
- Once logged in, you will land on the "My Info" page. Here, you can verify or edit your contact information, including mailing and email addresses, add credit card information, and add family members to your account.
- Note: If adding family members to your account, all members of a family account will share the login and password of the primary account holder.
- Within the "Schedules" section of the site, you will be able to view and register for all available recreation programs.

Is my credit card information secure?
Yes, the online recreation site and its payment processor (Moneris) are fully encrypted and compliant to ensure your personal information is secure.
The software requires all passwords must:
- be at least 10 characters long
- contain one uppercase letter
- contain one number
- not contain a sequence (i.e. 123456 or abc123)

We strongly encourage our users to choose a strong password and be diligent in protecting their personal information and account details.
What credit cards are accepted for online payment?
- We are able to accept online payment using Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit & Debit Mastercard.
- American Express or Discover Cards are NOT accepted.
What is the refund and withdrawal policy?
A $10 administration fee applies to all program withdrawals except memberships. Refunds and withdrawals are not processed on registration days, and policies may vary by program, so please review each course’s details. After a program begins, refunds are pro-rated. Note: Some specialized programs have additional rules, for example a 50% refund within seven days before the start date and no refund once the course has begun; please refer to the course’s instructions for full details.
What will happen if I try to register for an activity that is full?
You will not be able to register for a course that is full, but you can add yourself to a waiting list. Placement on a waiting list does not guarantee a spot.
If you are on a waitlist for a recreation program and a spot becomes available, you will be notified by email with an option to either confirm or decline the spot. You will have 72 hours to respond. If there is no response after 72 hours, you will lose the opportunity to register and the spot will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
What happens when I am on a waitlist?

Make sure your online recreation account is up to date with your current email address and watch for notifications from City of Kamloops Recreation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All family members on your profile must have an email address, phone number, and mailing address listed. This can be the same as the primary contacts (e.g. parents) email. If you have a child registered for a waitlist and no email associated with this individual, a waitlist notification will not be sent by the system.

Which device and browser should I use for the Recreation Online Portal?
Our online portal works best when accessed using Google Chrome on a personal computer or tablet.
You can navigate the site using a cellphone; however, some pages and features may not display correctly on mobile devices which can cause registration issues.
Important Note for Apple Users
Our website does NOT display correctly in Safari.
If you are using an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac), please download one of the following browsers for the best experience:
- Google Chrome (preferred)

- Mozilla Firefox
I have an account, but I can't see the course I registered for.
There is a possibility of having multiple accounts using different email addresses.
If you think this might be the case, please contact the front desk at 250-828-3500 to have the accounts merged. In the case of a merge, front desk staff will resend the up-to-date login information.
Where am I on the waitlist?
If you successfully secured a spot on a waitlist you will have received an email to confirm the course details and waitlist instructions. To check your current waitlist details, log in to the Customer Online Portal.
- Select the correct Client from the Client List.
- Scroll to "Attendance" and click on the down arrow.
Note: There can be up to a 20-minute system delay assigning waitlist order numbers when you are first added to the waitlist. If your Status Order # is blank, please wait 20 minutes and then log back into the Customer Portal. Also, remember that your position on the waitlist will change if there are withdrawals from the course or the waitlist.
I have entered my credit card information, but I cannot adjust or delete it.
Once you have entered your credit card details it is encrypted to ensure your personal information is secure, therefore it cannot be edited. However, if you entered your credit card information incorrectly, you can re‑add the correct card by repeating the payment‑method entry process.
To remove the incorrect card, go to your Saved Payment Methods (Finance Info) and click Deactivate beside the card you want to disable.
Additional Notes
- You can save multiple credit cards to your account.
- Only valid, active cards will appear as options during checkout.
- You must have at least one valid credit card on your account in order to receive account credit refunds.
