The City of Kamloops’ 2026 property tax sale will take place on Monday, September 28, at 10:00 in Council Chambers at City Hall. This annual public auction is required under the Local Government Act to help municipalities recover outstanding property taxes on properties with three years of outstanding taxes. The original property owner has one year following the sale to redeem their property by paying the outstanding charges and interest. 

The required notice of the tax sale has been posted on Kamloops.ca/Notices, emailed to subscribers, and posted on the notice board at City Hall. Residents who would like to receive statutory notices straight to their inboxes are encouraged to subscribe to Statutory Public Notices at Kamloops.ca/Subscribe.
