Topic: Men Like Me

In the presentation, Dr. Gottfriedson will draw his audience into the experience of a Secwepemc First Nations man living and thriving in a co-cultural environment in Canada.  He will unravel the story of his early childhood education from the Kamloops Indian Residential School leading to his doctorial achievement.  He will read poetry from some of his published work emphasizing the challenges faced by many Indigenous people marking their place in Canada.  Included in this presentation, Dr. Gottfriedson will address aspects of diversity, inclusion and equity from the Secwepemc perspective.
