Water Use Restrictions Exemption Permit Application

Application for an exemption to Schedule "I" of Waterworks Bylaw No. 12-71 may be requested during the normal and heightened water use restriction stages for the following reasons:

Planting of new sod or seed requiring additional watering
Planting of new trees, or shrubs requiring additional watering

Issued permit holders will be exempt from Schedule “I” of Waterworks Bylaw No. 12-71 for the period specified on the permit, provided the permit holders adhere to the terms of the permit.

To apply for a Water Use Restriction Exemption Permit, please complete the following form. Your application will be reviewed and approval will be sent via email. Should additional information regarding your application be required, you will be contacted.

Most permits for new plantings will be valid for a maximum of 21 days from the date the permit begins. If an extension beyond 21 days is required, a new permit application must be submitted prior to the expiration date.
