Multi-Unit Residential

Multi-unit buildings require a building permit before construction, renovation, or addition work can begin.

Solar Panel Permit

Solar panel projects on any property will require a permit to be issued before any work begins.

Swimming Pool Permit

Please note that pools with an area of 7.5 m² or less with a lockable lid do not require a building permit.

This list outlines the general items required to obtain an occupancy inspection and occupancy certificate under City of Kamloops Building Regulation Bylaw No. 11-84, 2025. To assist with making the final building inspection successful, please ensure that the checklist bas been completed PRIOR TO REQUESTING the final inspection.
