The City's Parks and Street Division work diligently every year to keep our streets, sidewalks, active transportation networks, and other City properties safe and clear of snow and ice. Below outlines how we prioritize and manage snow clearing within the city.
Snow Clearing Priorities
City streets are plowed on a priority basis, starting with arterial roads, followed by collectors and bus routes. Residential streets are only attended to once the other streets are cleared.
The City of Kamloops is shining the spotlight on its winter fleet—the hardworking plows and equipment that keep our roads safe and clear during snowstorms.
