The City of Kamloops is pleased to announce the successful recipients of the 2025 Social and Community Development Grants.
In October 2024, the City issued a call for applications and received submissions from 22 not-for-profit organizations. After a thorough evaluation process that was facilitated by City staff and based on the recommendations of the Social Planning Engagement Group, grants will be awarded to the following 11 organizations:
- BIG Little Science Centre Society - $6,000
- Interior Women's Centre Society - $15,000
- Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society - $30,000
- Kamloops Adult Learners Society - $5,000
- Kamloops Arts Council - $15,000
- Kamloops Food Policy Council - $6,500
- Kamloops Happy Choristers Senior Choir - $3,000
- Lii Michif Otipemisiwak Family and Community Services - $15,000
- Mount Paul Community Food Centre - $12,073
- People in Motion - $15,000
- Spinal Cord Injury BC - $5,000
Over the last five years this grant has funded 35 different social agencies in Kamloops. The City would like to thank all organizations who applied. Your continued support and service in our community is acknowledged and appreciated.
Social and Community Development Grants fund special projects, operational costs, and/or capital expenditures that address specific social issues that are identified in the City’s Social Plan.
