On Family Day, the City of Kamloops will transform the Tournament Capital Centre into a festival for families with children of all ages! The 10th Annual Family Day Festival is a free event that will take place on Monday, February 19, from 10:00 am–2:00 pm.
Community organizations and businesses will bring a wide range of family-focused festivities into one place. Festival goers will have an opportunity get creative with arts and crafts, have their faces painted, experience live performances, learn about all thing’s science, practice karate, and try new sports. With a wide variety of booths and activities, there will be something for everyone.
In addition to this free family festival, residents are encouraged to take advantage these programs on Family Day:
- Toonie public skating at Valleyview Arena 10:00 am–11:00 am and 11:15 am–12:15 pm.
- Toonie public swimming at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre from 10:00 am–2:00 pm.
There will be opportunities to win great prizes! Families can pick up "experience passports" at the door and all completed passports will be entered in a draw to win 1 of 3 one-month family passes to the Tournament Capital Centre.
Support your community and residents in need. The Kamloops Food Bank will be accepting donations for non-perishable food items at the door.
