Kamloops, BC—The City’s annual auction in partnership with Team Auctions will be taking place April 25–28, 2024, with great finds for residents and businesses alike. This year’s auction has a variety of items, including a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 pick-up truck, a sander, two tractors, numerous bikes, various hand and power tools, office equipment, and more. A comprehensive inventory complete with pictures will be accessible on the Team Auctions website, which will serve as the platform for all bidding activities. Interested participants can already view some of the available items by visiting Kamloops.ca/Auction.
Items can be viewed in person in advance of bidding at the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre curling rink at 1665 Island Parkway 12:00–7:00 pm on April 25-27. Bidding will commence at 9:00 am on Friday, April 26, and will begin closing at 9:00 am on Sunday, April 28. All bidding processes will be conducted online, so registration is required.
“In recent years, our annual auction has proven to be a strategic tool for effective asset management,” said Ray Sison, the City’s Procurement and Inventory Manager. "It's heartening to see residents and local businesses find great deals. Moreover, the auction has proven effective for reuniting lost or stolen items with their original owners."
The auction will feature several unclaimed items acquired by the City and the RCMP. Residents searching for lost or stolen items are encouraged to attend the in-person viewing and explore the Team Auctions webpage. Identified items should promptly be reported to the City’s Planning and Procurement Division at purchasing@kamloops.ca and Team Auctions at jennifer@teamauctions.com. The claimant’s full name, contact number, and a detailed description of the item along with its associated auction number will need to be provided.
Claimed items will immediately be withdrawn from the auction, with Community Services or RCMP representatives reaching out to claimants to guide them through the next steps.
