Hydrant Flow Testing
Each spring, Kamloops Fire Rescue inspects the City's fire hydrants, conducting flow tests to ensure they are operating properly and have adequate flow.
The program runs from 9:00 am–8:00 pm, seven days a week from mid-March to mid-May.
During flow testing, poor water pressure and/or high turbidity levels may result. This situation is temporary and may last up to four hours. If turbidity is detected, you are advised to run a cold water tap and avoid doing laundry until the turbidity clears up.
Please assist us by keeping shrubs and trees pruned back from fire hydrants.
