Survey Introduction

The Climate Friendly Home Program helps households plan and prioritize ways to reduce energy costs and carbon pollution, prepare for extreme weather, and support biodiversity. The program is a collaborative effort between the Youth Climate Corps (YCC), BC Hydro, and the City of Kamloops.

The free program consists of a home energy tour where the resident and YCC team work together to identify opportunities to reduce heat loss, increase efficiency, improve home comfort, and take advantage of current rebates. The tour extends outside to assess how the landscaping is providing protection from climate risks such as wildfire and supporting a healthy urban ecosystem.

All participants will receive helpful home energy supplies to help them get started.

Program registration starts by completing this short survey. A YCC team member will be in contact to schedule a date and time for a free 2-hour climate friendly home assessment.
