Property Taxes
Property Tax Due Date - 1st working day after July 1st.
City Hall hours:
June: 8am - 4pm
Last week of June until Due Date: 8am - 5pm.
Important Notice
All Property Taxes Notices are mailed annually in the last week of May. Property owners, who have not yet received their tax notice by the second
week of June, should contact the Tax Department at 250-828-3437. New Property Owners are responsible for payment of their annual property taxes by the due
date to avoid a 10% penalty, whether or not they receive a Property Tax Notice.
To avoid a penalty of 10%, payments and properly completed applications for the Home Owner Grant (HOG) must be received by 5pm, on the Property Tax Due Date, without exception. It is not necessary to make payment in order to apply for the HOG. HOG Applications must include your home phone number.

Please note that the Home Owner Grant can also be applied for online. Visit www.kamloops.ca/ehog
and follow the links to apply for your HOG. You will need to know your Folio Number and your Access Code both
are located on the top right had corner of your Property Tax Notice.
Payment Options
Payments may be made at most financial institutions in Canada (in person, by Telephone banking, or Internet
banking), credit unions, by mail or in person at City Hall. Mail early to avoid 10% penalty. Post-dated cheques are accepted.
Please make cheques payable to the City of Kamloops.
Note: Mail lost or delayed by post office will be assessed the penalty as the postmark will not be accepted as proof of payment by due date.
