Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services are proud to provide a variety of services, programs, and facilities to expand your recreation and leisure opportunities.
Our Recreation Commission and the Parks and Recreation Services work closely together to ensure that our citizens and visitors receive the highest level of quality recreation, leisure, arts, culture, and sports services.
Each year we make improvements that are consistent with City Council's mission and guiding principles by providing these services in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Kamloops has won in the 55,001 to 150,000 population category of the 2009 National Edition of
Communities in Bloom, receiving 5 Blooms and a special mention for the McArthur Island Park and Sports Facilities.
Canada's Tournament Capital
As Canada's Tournament Capital, Kamloops will continue to be the
premier host centre for tournaments, cultural events, high performance training camps,
and national and international competitions.
