Future Parks for Juniper West

Juniper West Park

Juniper West is a rapidly growing neighbourhood and the City of Kamloops would like to share with you what the future Parks and Trail system will look like in the future.

The first two Parks that will be built in 2017 are Juniper West Park and a small dog park that also functions as a detention pond for storm water. The third Park will be built when the housing development is closer to completion in the next few years. The Gas Line trail has already been completed at the East edge and the remainder will be phased in as residential development continues toward the West.

The City of Kamloops will complete detailed design work for Juniper West Park over the winter of 2016 and construction on the Park will start in 2017. The Park features a large grassed picnic area, a playground that can service children of various ages, a paved perimeter trail, and a lookout with spectacular views of the River valley.
